The Gothia Cup 2024!

The Gothia Cup is often referred to as the "World Cup of Youth Soccer". The vibrant city of Gothenburg hosts this event with over 1,900 teams from over 75 countries. Gothenburg is widely known for being a cultural hub and sits on the picturesque west coast of Sweden. Our Premier International Tours staff – Mike Stebbins, Daniel Simerly, and Grant Bauer – were present to make sure all our teams were taken care of by the accommodating and professional staff of the Gothia Cup.

The tournament kicked off with an impressive opening ceremony in the famed Ullevi Stadium. Approximately 50,000 people attended a fantastic show filled with professional singers, musicians, dancers, lighting, and fireworks where each country was spotlighted in the Opening Parade. Tournament games take place on fields in and around Gothenburg. Our teams played in beautiful and accessible local areas where teams from every corner of the globe met to play. These fields alone are an incredible excursion in itself and are very easy to reach due to Gothenburg's robust and reliable public transit system. Teams who reach the finals have the opportunity to play in the Gamla Ullevi stadium, one of the top venues in Swedish football.

The city of Gothenburg offers endless sightseeing options: Liseberg amusement park, the Gothenburg archipelago, and Universeum science center to name a few, and boasts a vibrant culinary scene with numerous highly rated restaurants. Other great sightseeing options include short trips to nearby coastal towns such as Marstrand, Tjörn, and Kungälv. Fans of Nordic culture can visit the historic district of Haga, spend the day exploring the beautiful Gothenburg Botanical Garden, or survey the city on one of its famous Paddan boat tours through Gothenburg's canals.

The Premier International Tours staff met with the Gothia Cup staff to secure the best hotel and travel options for teams interested in traveling in 2025.

Premier International Tours also wants to congratulate the Dallas Texans 09 Girls, NorCal PDP U16 Girls, and NorCal PDP U16 Boys for being crowned Champions of their respective divisions!

The overall coordination and organization of the tour was fantastic. I am very impressed with how it was

handled. For me, it is all about the environment. The PIT staff, as well as the Gothia Staff, were welcoming

and accommodating to make sure we had a great experience. – Alexander Herrera, Head Coach, Redwood City Juventus SC.
