The Donosti Cup has been around for over 25 years with more than 650 teams participating each year

In the next coming weeks Premier International Tours will post some profiles of the tournaments we represent. This week we will start with the Donosti Cup which takes place each year during the month of July in San Sebastian, located at the Basque Coast in Northern Spain.

San Sebastián is a resort town on the Bay of Biscay in Spain’s mountainous Basque Country. It’s known for Playa de la Concha and Playa de Ondarreta, beaches framed by a picturesque bayfront promenade, and world-renowned restaurants helmed by innovative chefs. In its cobblestoned old town (Parte Vieja), upscale shops neighbor vibrant pintxo bars; pairing local wines with bite-size regional specialties, it also hosts a great scene of local eateries, markets and shops, as well as many landmarks around an impressive cathedral. From La Concha Beach to the Aquarium, there is plenty to see and to do in San Sebastian.

The Donosti Cup has been around for over 25 years with more than 650 teams participating each year. That makes this tournament the biggest tournament in Southern Europe. The Donosti Cup tournament headquarters are located near the Estadio Anoeta (stadium) of Real Sociedad. This stadium will be used for the impressive opening ceremony. Many of the games are played at the official training complex for Real Sociedad with 4 grass fields, a small stadium and 1 artificial field.
