The Dana Cup is one of the most prestigious soccer tournaments in Northern Europe. The charming town of Hjørring hosts this event with over 1,000 teams from more than 45 countries. Hjørring is known for its rich cultural heritage and lies in the scenic northern region of Denmark, not far from the breathtaking North Sea coast. Our Premier International Tours staff – Daniel Simerly and Grant Bauer – were present to ensure all our teams were taken care of by the accommodating and professional staff of the Dana Cup.

The tournament kicked off with an impressive opening ceremony in the Hjørring Stadium. Approximately 20,000 people attended a fantastic show filled with professional singers, musicians, lighting, and music, where each country was spotlighted in the Opening Parade. Tournament games take place on fields in and around Hjørring. Many of our teams ended up playing in picturesque local towns amongst the beautiful prairies that are famous in the region. Teams who reach the finals have the opportunity to play in the Nord Energi Arena, providing an unforgettable experience.

The town of Hjørring offers numerous sightseeing options and easy access to the natural beauty of the region. Other great sightseeing options include short trips to coastal cities such as Skagen, Frederikshavn, and Hirtshals. Nature enthusiasts can visit the stunning Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse or spend a day exploring the expansive sandy beaches and dunes. The picturesque town of Aalborg, known for its vibrant culture and history, is just an hour's drive away.

The Premier International Tours staff met with the Dana Cup staff to secure the best hotel and travel options for teams interested in traveling in 2025.

Premier International Tours also wants to congratulate the Dallas Texans 09 Girls and Dallas Texans 10 Boys for being crowned Champions of their respective divisions!
