Duke University Men’s Club Soccer team just returned from a soccer tour to Trinidad and Tobago

The Duke University Men’s Club Soccer team just returned from a soccer tour to Trinidad and Tobago. As soccer was priority #1 of the tour, the team played games against 3 competitive men’s teams from Trinidad. Their record was 1-1-1. One of their games was played at Hasely Crawford stadium which is home to the T&T National team.

The trip also included excursions to Maracas Beach where they enjoyed some famous Trinidad Bake N Shark, did some zip-lining in the Chaguarmas National Park, took a swamp tour to see the beautiful Scarlet Ibis birds (famous red colored bird) flock to their resting point at sunset, and swam in a salt water bat cave! Premier International Tours arranged community service as well: the Duke team interacted and played soccer with kids from a rural community and helped with their Christmas presents.

Team captain Landon Baker stated “I just wanted to reach out to Premier International Tours and its staff and formally thank you for helping to create an amazing trip to Trinidad for the Duke Club Soccer Team. I know that I speak on behalf of the entire team when I say that the experience was truly extraordinary and will be something that we will not forget for a long, long time. Thanks again!”.
